On June 25, 1996 British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority ("B.C.ÊHydro") applied to the Commission for approval of Rate ScheduleÊ1844 - Spill Reduction Energy Rate to be applicable to all Rate ScheduleÊ1821 Transmission Service and Rate ScheduleÊ1848 - Real Time Pricing - Transmission Service customers until JulyÊ31, 1996; and B. The Application is a result of spill conditions at B.C.ÊHydro reservoirs, and is energy made available to customers who are able to increase production or turn down self generation; and C. The Commission has reviewed the Application and finds that approval is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves for B.C.ÊHydro, Rate ScheduleÊ1844 - Spill Reduction Energy Rate, effective immediately on a temporary basis until JulyÊ31, 1996. 2. B.C.ÊHydro is to inform all Rate SchedulesÊ1821 and 1848 customers of the availability of Rate ScheduleÊ1844.
