Commission Order No.ÊG-68-96 approved the establishment of a Stress Corrosion Cracking (ÒSCCÓ) deferral account and 1996 expenditures of up to $160,000 related to the investigative report and repair costs on the mainline of Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. (ÒPNGÓ) in addition to the $40,000 approved by the Commission in its 1996 Revenue Requirements Decision; and B. On SeptemberÊ5, 1996 PNG applied to the Commission for approval to increase the costs to be recorded in the deferral account related to the SCC investigative report and repair costs on its mainline from Summit Lake to MilepostÊ230; and C. PNG has determined that the estimated 1996 costs for the SCC investigation and repairs, that were approved for deferral account treatment by Order No.ÊG-68-96, would increase from $160,000 to $280,000; and D. The Commission has reviewed the application and finds that approval of an increase in the deferral account for SCC is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission approves for PNG an increase in the amount which may be deferred, from $160,000 to $280,000, related to the investigative report and repair costs on PNGÕs mainline from Summit Lake to MilepostÊ230.
