Ltd. May 29, 1996 Revenue Requirements Decision and Commission Order No. G-51-96 BEFORE: L.R. Barr, Deputy Chairperson; and ) F.C. Leighton, Commissioner ) October 4, 1996 O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On November 29, 1995 Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. - West Division ("PNG") and Pacific Northern Gas (N.E.) Ltd. - Dawson Creek and Tumbler Ridge Divisions ("PNG (N.E.)") filed a 1996 Rate Application and on May 29, 1996 the Commission, by Order No. G-51-96, issued its 1996 Revenue Requirements Decision on the Application; and B. On August 2, 1996 PNG filed an application ("the Reconsideration Application") with the Commission pursuant to Section 114 of the Utilities Commission Act ("the Act"), for a reconsideration of the 1996 Revenue Requirements Decision dated May 29, 1996 with respect to Section 7.4 which adjusted the compressor fuel gas usage forecast from 3.0 percent to 2.8 percent; and C. On August 21, 1996 the Commission, by Order No. G-81-96, established a process for affected parties to file Written Submissions to address the preliminary questions of whether there should be any reconsideration and, if so, whether the Commission should hear new evidence; and D. Methanex Corporation ("Methanex") on September 13, 1996, and the Consumers' Association of Canada (B.C.ÊBranch), the British Columbia Old Age Pensioners' Organization, the Council of Senior Citizens Organizations of B.C., Federated Anti-Poverty Groups of B.C., Senior Citizens' Association of B.C., and West End Seniors' Network, the B.C. Coalition for Information Access, End Legislated Poverty and the Tenants' Rights Coalition (collectively known as "CAC (B.C.) et al.") on September 19, 1996 filed submissions regarding the Reconsideration Application; and . . ./2
2 E. On September 19, 1996, PNG filed a reply submission to the Methanex filing; and F. The Commission has considered the Reconsideration Application and the other submissions which it has received and has arrived at the following determination. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders that the PNG Reconsideration Application with respect to SectionÊ7.4 of the 1996 Revenue Requirements Decision dated May 29, 1996 be denied.
