LETTER NO. L-2-96 SIXTH FLOOR, 900 HOWE STREET, BOX 250 VANCOUVER, B.C. CANADA V6Z 2N3 TELEPHONE: (604) 660-4700 ROBERT J. PELLATT BC TOLL FREE: 1-800-663-1385 COMMISSION SECRETARY FACSIMILE: (604) 660-1102 January 18, 1996 Mr. Gordon A. Hazlewood 1129 Henlow Road West Vancouver, B.C. V7S 2E6 Dear Mr. Hazlewood: Re: British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority Request for Reconsideration of Commission Decision L-68-95 Customer Complaint ofB.C. Hydro Claim #95-NI99 This letter will acknowledge receipt of your letter dated January 6, 1996, wherein you requested that the Commission reconsider its decision on the above complaint. The Commission in its determination stated that it believed B.C. Hydro had applied its Electric Tariff and policies in a fair and equitable manner. In your request for a reconsideration you state that you believe there to be information to prove that you were not treated in a fair and equitable manner by B.C. Hydro and, by implication, that the Commission should review that evidence. Therefore, before determining if it will accept a reconsideration of your complaint, we have requested B.C. Hydro to provide the Commission with the materials outlined in the our letter (attached). With respect to other issues raised in your letter, the Commission will not respond in full until it determines if a reconsideration is warranted or not. Without prejudicing the Commission's decision for a reconsideration, the Commission, however, wishes to clarify a point in Letter No. L-68-95. The limitation on further reimbursement for damages was meant only to apply to those items not meeting the criteria as defined by B.C. Hydro's policy statements and its letter to you of August 31, 1995. Yours truly, RWRIlm cc: Mr. D.A. Harrison Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority COMPLAINTS/BCH-96Cor/Hazlewood&L-68-95
