The Commission, by Order No.ÊG-56-96, directed Squamish Gas Co. Ltd.Ê(ÒSquamishÊGasÓ) to file an application by AugustÊ31, 1996 covering utility operations for the fiscal periods AugustÊ6, 1991 to DecemberÊ31, 1995 as required by the Ministry of Employment and InvestmentÊ(ÒtheÊMinistryÓ) in its letter dated MayÊ31, 1996; and B. Following Squamish GasÕ AugustÊ30, 1996 filing of the Application, the Commission held a pre-hearing conference on OctoberÊ9, 1996 and a pre-hearing workshop on OctoberÊ24, 1996. On NovemberÊ5, 1996 the Commission issued Order No.ÊG-109-96 which set out a Regulatory Timetable including the scheduling of a negotiated settlement or Public Hearing to commence on JanuaryÊ14, 1997; and C. On DecemberÊ13, 1996 Squamish Gas and the Ministry reported on the status of negotiations concerning the cost of service review for the period AugustÊ6, 1991 to DecemberÊ31, 1995, and requested that the Commission delay the Regulatory Timetable as set out in Order No.ÊG-109-96;Êand D. The Commission has reviewed the applications by Squamish Gas and the Ministry and finds that an amended regulatory timetable is required. .../2

The Commission accepts the request by Squamish Gas and the Ministry to postpone the negotiated settlement and public hearing as set down in Order No.ÊG-109-96. The timetable for intervenor information requests, utility responses and intervenor evidence as set out in Order No.ÊG-109-96 is also postponed. 2. The deadline for Squamish Gas and the Ministry to report on the status of negotiations is rescheduled to FebruaryÊ21, 1997. 3. If the negotiations between Squamish Gas and the Ministry were to result in a settlement proposal, the proposal is to be filed with the Commission and circulated to all registered intervenors. 4. The timetable for a negotiated settlement or public hearing regarding this application as well as other actions will be set by way of a future Commission Order. 5. Squamish Gas is to inform all participants to the proceeding the postponements approved by this Order.
