On October 23, 1996 the British Columbia Public Interest Advocacy Centre (flBCPIACfI) filed with the Commission an application for a participant assistance cost award with respect to their participation in the BC Gas Utility Ltd. (flBC Gas fl ) 1996 Rate Design and Service Line Coast Allowance Applications workshops, pre-hearing conferences and public hearings; and B. The Panel discussed the claim having regard to the criteria and rates set out in Order No. G-l 03-96; and C. The Panel has determined that BCPIAC's participation in the proceedings requires reimbursement in accordance with Commission approved guidelines. NOW THEREFORE pursuant to Section 133.1(1) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission approves a cost award of $49,849 for BCPIAC to reflect its participation in the BC Gas proceedings.
