Jaccard, Chairperson; and ) K.L. Hall, Commissioner ORDER WHEREAS: A. On November 7, ] 996 the British Columbia Public Interest Advocacy Centre ("BCPIAC") made application for reconsideration of the cost award set forth in Order No. F-8-96 dated August 1, 1996; and B. In its application, BCPIAC requested reconsideration of the funds awarded relating to preparation time and cited the successful reconsideration of the British Columbia Energy Coalition's request that was approved by Order No. F-22-96; and C. The Panel determined that in this proceeding, where the actual number of hearings days were few, the ratio of preparation days to hearing days was greater than for hearings of longer length; and D. The Panel discussed the application for reconsideration having regard to the criteria and rates set out in Order No. G-I17-93. NOW THEREFORE pursuant to Section 133.1 (1) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission orders that the cost award for BCPIAC be increased by $2,608. The afore-mentioned cost award is to be paid by British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority in a timely manner.
