Bennett Dam - Sink Hole Investigations Thank you for meeting with Commission staff on September 3, 1996, to update the Commission on the status for the investigation of the W.A.c. Bennett Dam sink hole. The meeting was very useful to gain an appreciation of the testing and analysis that is being carried out, as well as some of the preliminary findings. Commission staff look forward to another briefing session in October after the project team has analyzed further test results. To follow up this meeting, and to obtain further information and clarification, the Commission is requesting a project report from B.C. Hydro that details the remaining tests and plans for future activities. This report should contain an approximate timeline for future testing and remedial work (or possible work), and a description of the impacts that the spilling of approximately 20 feet water from the W.A.c. Bennett Dam may have on future energy supplies and costs. In addition, please estimate the amount of revenue which might have been lost as a result of the spilled water.
