On AprilÊ22, 1997 the Commission, by Letter No.ÊL-14-97, approved for Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. ("PNG") its application to record, in a deferral account, the costs and revenue deficiency related to the protection given to Repap British Columbia Inc. [also know as Skeena Cellulose Inc. ("Skeena")] the disposition of which will be by way of a future Commission Order; and B. On SeptemberÊ4, 1997 the Commission, by Letter No.ÊL-53-97, approved for PNG its JulyÊ18, 1997 application for recovery of the Skeena Deferral Account Balance through customer rates commencing in 1998; and C. On December 1, 1997, the British Columbia Public Interest Advocacy Centre ("BCPIAC") applied for a participant assistance cost award for its participation in the Skeena Deferral Account proceeding; and D. The Commission has determined that BCPIAC's participation in this proceeding requires reimbursement in accordance with approved guidelines; and E. The Commission has discussed the claim having regard to the criteria and rates set out in Commission Order No.ÊG-103-96. . . ./2
2 NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. Pursuant to Section 118(1) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission awards funds to BCPIAC in the amount of $553.13 for its participation in the PNG-Skeena Deferral Account proceeding. 2.
