Hall, Commissioner ) P.G. Bradley, Commissioner ) December 18, 1997 O R D E R WHEREAS: A. The Commission, by Order No. G-94-97, approved for BC Gas Utility Ltd. ("BC Gas") an increase in the reference price in the Revelstoke Propane Cost Deferral Account ("the Deferral Account") to $0.168/litre effective September Ê1, 1997; and B. During the period September to December 1997, the actual price of bulk propane declined resulting in a faster amortization of the Deferral Account which is now expected to be less than the approved 5-year amortization period; and C. On December 16, 1997, BC Gas applied to the Commission for approval to pass-through a decrease of $0.142/GJ in the cost of propane resulting in a decrease in the Deferral Account reference price from $0.1681/litre to $0.1646/litre; and D. The Commission has reviewed the application and finds that approval to pass-through a decrease in the reference price of the Propane Cost Deferral Account is appropriate. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission, pursuant to Section 61(4) of the Utilities Commission Act, approves for BCÊGas its application to pass-through a decrease in the reference price of the Propane Cost Deferral Account from $0.1681/litre to $0.1646/litre effective January 1, 1998. The decrease will be combined with the gas tariff changes approved by Commission Order No.ÊG-128-97. . . ./2
2 2. BC Gas is to prepare a notice informing customers of the change in the Reference Price and of the Propane Cost Deferral Account and other rate changes resulting from Order No.ÊG-128-97. 3.
