Bradley, Commissioner ) C. Kinsley, Commissioner ) O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On January 27, 1998, Centra Gas British Columbia Inc. ("Centra Gas") applied to the Commission for approval to assign to NGC Canada Inc. (“NGC”) a portion of the Westcoast Energy Inc. (“WEI”) Zone 4 Transportation for the 1997/1998 gas contract year; and B. The Contract with NGC will assign 377.6 10 3 m 3 /day of Zone 4 WEI Transportation from April 1, 1998 to October 31, 1998. The Agreement also provides Centra Gas with the option to re-acquire up to 154 10 3 m 3 /day at the WEI toll rate during the periods of April 1 to May 15, 1998 and September 15 to October 31, 1998, if Centra Gas should require any of its baseload gas at Huntingdon, B.C.; and C. The Commission has reviewed the Letter Agreement and is satisfied that approval of the temporary assignment of Zone 4 Transportation is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE pursuant to Section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Rules, the Commission approves for the 1997/98 gas contract year for Centra Gas, the January 26, 1998 Letter Agreement, identified as Transportation Purchase Term Sheet, with NGC Canada Inc. for the temporary assignment of WEI Zone 4 Transportation of 377.6 10 3 m 3 /day from April 1, 1998 to October 31, 1998.
