Ostergaard, Chair ) L.R. Barr, Deputy Chair ) November 26, 1998 F.C. Leighton, Commissioner ) O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On October 29, 1998, Centra Gas British Columbia Inc. (“Centra Gas”) applied to change rates for New Customers, effective January 1, 1999 (“the New Customer Rate Application”), pursuant to Section 60 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Special Direction issued by the Lieutenant Governor in Council through Order in Council No. 1510 dated December 13, 1995; and B. The Special Direction directs the Commission on the fixing of New Customer rates up to the year 2002 and allows an annual increase in new customer rates equivalent to the Consumer Price Index for Victoria, B.C., plus one percent and any unused rate increases from prior years, effective January 1, 1999; and C. Centra Gas proposes New Customer rate changes resulting in a 1.2 percent increase for the Small General Service classes and rate increases and decreases for the Large General Service classes ranging from a 2.33 percent increase to a 7.4 percent decrease for the average annual bill; and D. The Commission has reviewed the New Customer Rate Application and is satisfied that approval of the rate changes is appropriate. . . ./2
2 NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves for Centra Gas, effective January 1, 1999, changes to New Customer rates as follows: First Revision of Page 68 Small General Service Rate No. 11 (SGS-11) First Revision of Page 69 Small General Service Rate No. 12 (SGS-12) First Revision of Page 70 Large General Service Rate No. 11 (LGS-11) First Revision of Page 71 Large General Service Rate No. 12 (LGS-12) First Revision of Page 72 Large General Service Rate No. 13 (LGS-13) 2.
