The Commission, by Order No. G-108-96, approved for Squamish Gas Co. Ltd. (“Squamish Gas”) an increase in rates to propane customers, effective November 1, 1996, to recover approximately 60 percent of the forecasted increase in the cost of propane for 1996/97. The balance of the increase in the cost of propane not recovered in rates was to be placed in a Propane Cost Deferral Account; and B. On November 23, 1998, Squamish Gas applied to the Commission to increase rates to propane customers to recover the remaining balance of $11,500 in the Propane Cost Deferral Account as at October 31, 1998; and C. The Squamish Gas application requested an increase of $0.215/CCF and an increase in the reference price from $0.1595/litre to $0.1795/litre effective December 1, 1998; and D. The Commission has reviewed the Application and finds that approval to increase propane rates is required. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. Pursuant to Section 61 of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission approves for Squamish Gas an increase in propane rates of $0.215/CCF to all propane customers, effective December 1, 1998. The reference price of the Propane Cost Deferral Account is to be set at $0.1795/litre effective December 1, 1998. . . ./2
2 2. Squamish Gas is to file, in a timely manner, an amended Gas Tariff rate schedule in accordance with this Order. 3. The difference between the actual cost of propane and the cost recovered in rates is to be recorded in the Propane Cost Deferral Account, the disposition of which will be decided by way of a future Commission direction. 4.
