(“WKP”) applied to the Commission for approval of an energy supply contract (“the Agreement”) with Aquila Power Corporation (“Aquila”) for the purchase of a 6x16 block of 75 MW of firm energy and capacity for the months of January and February 2000, for delivery at the B.C. - U.S. border or at other mutually agreed points; and B. WKP requires this capacity to meet forecasted loads and reserve planning levels; and C. The Commission has reviewed the application and is satisfied that approval of the Agreement is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE pursuant to Section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Rules respecting Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts for filing an executed December 1, 1999 Electricity Sale Confirmation agreement between WKP and Aquila for the purchase of 75 MW of energy and capacity for the months of January and February 2000 at the B.C. - U.S. border delivery point or at other mutually agreed points, as submitted in WKP’s application dated December 20, 1999.
