Ostergaard, Chair ) L.R. Barr, Deputy Chair ) December 23, 1998 O R D E R WHEREAS: A.. On October 26, 1998, West Kootenay Power Ltd. (“WKP“) filed a Preliminary 1999 Revenue Requirements and Incentive Mechanism Review Application to set rates for 1999 pursuant to Sections 58 and 61 of the Utilities Commission Act; and B. The Commission issued Order No. G-123-98 approving the resulting Negotiated Settlement and directing WKP to file a Final Rates Application; and C. On December 23, 1998 WKP filed a 1999 Final Rates Application reflecting the terms of the Negotiated Settlement approved by the Commission; and D. The Commission has reviewed the 1999 Final Rates Application and is satisfied that approval of the rate changes is necessary and in the public interest; and E. By Order No. G-15-98 the Commission approved certain rate design changes. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves a general rate increase of 0.64% for all customer classes, effective January 1, 1999. 2. The Commission will accept, subject to timely filing, Electric Tariff Rate Schedules which are in compliance with the Final Rates Application and Order No. G-15-98, effective January 1, 1999.
