Commission Order No. G-21-99 dated February 22, 1999, established the regulatory timetable for a limited oral public hearing commencing March 29, 1999, with respect to an application by BC Gas Utility Ltd. (“BC Gas”) dated December 11, 1998, for the Southern Crossing Pipeline (“SCP”) Project; and B. On February 23, 1999, Westcoast Energy Inc. requested, due in part to its participation in a National Energy Board hearing, that the date by which parties may file additional written evidence in the proceeding established by Order No. G-21-99, be extended from Wednesday, March 3, 1999 to Monday, March 8, 1999; and C. On February 24, 1999, Northwest Pipeline Corporation requested an extension of the date for filing additional written evidence to Monday, March 8, 1999; and D. On February 24, 1999, BC Gas requested that the date for filing additional written evidence be extended to Friday, March 5, 1999; and E. The Commission has considered the requests and has determined that an extension of the date for the filing of additional written evidence, and changes to certain other dates in the timetable, without a change to the March 29, 1999 commencement date for the public hearing, are in the public interest. .../2
2 NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The timetable leading to the oral public hearing established by Order No. G-21-99, is amended by extending the date for filing additional written evidence, and a submission by British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority on the benefits and costs to its customers of the Peaking Gas Purchase Agreement and the Firm Tendered Transmission Service Agreement, to Friday, March 5, 1999. 2. The date for filing Information Requests is extended to Monday, March 15, 1999. 3. A revised timetable, attached as Appendix A, summarizes the amended key dates in the public review process.
