Ostergaard, Chair ) L.R. Barr, Deputy Chair ) June 24, 1999 P.G. Bradley, Commissioner ) O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On December 1, 1998 (revised December 15 and 16, 1998), Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. (“PNG”), Pacific Northern Gas (N.E.) Ltd. - Dawson Creek and Tumbler Ridge Divisions (“PNG (N.E.)”), and Centra Gas Fort St. John Inc. (“Centra FSJ”) filed for Commission approval their 1999 Revenue Requirements Applications (“the Applications”) to increase rates on an interim and final basis, effective January 1, 1999, pursuant to Sections 91 and 58 of the Utilities Commission Act (“the Act”); and B. On February 15 through 17, 1999, the Applications were reviewed by way of an Alternative Dispute Resolution (“ADR”) process in Vancouver, British Columbia; and C. On June 2, 1999, the Commission issued Order No. G-58-99 which approved the Settlement Agreement package for PNG, PNG (N.E.) and Centra FSJ; and D. The Commission received three (3) applications from the following Applicants for Participant Assistance Cost Awards relating to their participation in the ADR proceedings: • Mr. Trafford Hall, District of Kitimat • Mayor Paul Kealy, District of Tumbler Ridge • Mr. Bryan Lee, United Steel Workers of America, Local 9113; and . . ./2
2 E. The Commission has determined that the participation of the aforementioned Applicants require reimbursement in accordance with the Commission’s approved cost award guidelines; and F. The Commission has reviewed the claims having regard to the criteria and rates set out in Commission Order No. G-97-98. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. Pursuant to Section 118(1) of the Act, the Commission awards funds to the following Applicants for their participation in the proceedings: Applicants Mr. Trafford Hall, District of Kitimat Mayor Paul Kealy, District of Tumbler Ridge Mr. Bryan Lee, United Steel Workers of America, Local 9113 Total 2. PNG is directed to reimburse the above-noted applicants for these amounts in a timely fashion.
