Ostergaard, Chair ) L.R. Barr, Deputy Chair ) K.L. Hall, Commissioner ) December 10, 1998 P.G. Bradley, Commissioner ) O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On December 1, 1998, Centra Gas British Columbia Inc. (“Centra Gas”) applied to the Commission to increase Pioneer Class, Apartment Customer Rates (“ACR-1”) effective December 1, 1998, pursuant to the Special Direction and the terms of the Vancouver Island Natural Gas Pipeline Act; and B. As a result of higher competitive fuel oil prices in the service area effective October 26, 1998, the heating oil-based natural gas rates to Centra Gas’ ACR-1 customers will increase between 5.9 percent and 6.9 percent effective December 1, 1998; and C. The Commission has reviewed Centra Gas’ December 1, 1998 application and finds that an increase in the Schedule of Rates for ACR-1 customers should be approved. NOW THEREFORE the Commission approves for Centra Gas an increase in rates, between 5.9 percent and 6.9 percent, for ACR-1 customers, effective December 1, 1998. Centra Gas is to advise all affected customers of the increase in rates by way of customer notice.
