Ostergaard, Chair ) L.R. Barr, Deputy Chair K.L. Hall, Commissioner ) O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On March 3, 1999, BC Gas Utility Ltd. (“BC Gas”) filed with the Commission a Letter Agreement for natural gas storage with Amoco Canada Petroleum Company (“Amoco”) for the utilization of the Aitken Creek storage facility for the 1999/2000 storage year commencing April 1, 1999; and B. The Agreement with Amoco will provide BC Gas with up to 15,000 GJ/day of gas at Station 2 from November 1, 1999 to March 31, 2000; and C. The Commission has reviewed the filing and finds that the Amoco Letter Agreement, as an Energy Supply Contract, is in accordance with the Utilities Commission Act (“the Act”). NOW THEREFORE pursuant to Section 71 of the Act and the Rules for Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts for filing for BC Gas the February 5, 1999 Letter Agreement with Amoco for the storage, injection and withdrawal of gas at Aitken Creek for the term April 1, 1999 to March 31, 2000. This acceptance is subject to the timely filing of the fully executed contract. The Commission will hold the pricing and terms and conditions of the contract confidential.
