Ostergaard, Chair ) L.R. Barr, Deputy Chair ) June 10, 1999 P.G. Bradley, Commissioner ) O R D E R WHEREAS: A. The Commission by Order No. G-52-99, approved for Centra Gas British Columbia Inc. (“Centra Gas”) its May 5, 1999 application to increase rates to all Pioneer General Service and Apartment Customer Rates (“ACR-1”) customers effective June 1, 1999, pursuant to the Special Direction and the terms of the Vancouver Island Natural Gas Pipeline Act; and B. On June 7, 1999, Centra Gas advised the Commission that the rate increases to the ACR-1 customers, approved by Order No. G-52-99, were incorrectly calculated as a result of the inclusion of the Goods and Services Tax in the oil-based natural gas rates; and C. Centra Gas advised the Commission that no ACR-1 customers had been incorrectly billed at the higher rates and the ACR-1 rates should increase between 8.28 percent and 9.53 percent, effective June 1, 1999; and D. The Commission has reviewed the Centra Gas application and finds that Order No. G-52-99 should be rescinded and revised rates for ACR-1 and Pioneer General Service customers should be approved. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. Commission Order No. G-52-99 is rescinded. …/2
2 2. The Commission approves for Centra Gas its May 5, 1999 application to increase Pioneer General Service rates between 4.68 and 4.81 percent effective June 1, 1999 3. The Commission approves for Centra Gas its June 7, 1999 application to increase ACR-1 customer rates between 8.28 percent and 9.53 percent effective June 1, 1999. 4. Centra Gas is to advise all affected customers of the increased rates.
