Ostergaard, Chair ) K.L. Hall, Commissioner ) September 9, 1999 O R D E R WHEREAS: A. The Commission, by Order No. G-69-99, approved for BC Gas Utility Ltd. (“BC Gas”) its application to pass-through a decrease in customer rates and a decrease in the reference price for the Revelstoke Propane Cost Deferral Account (“the Deferral Account”) both effective July 1, 1999. The Commission also approved the removal of the Deferral Account surcharge effective July 1, 1999; and B. Commission Order No. G-83-99 approved changes to the gas cost component of BC Gas rates effective September 1, 1999, including changes to the Gas Cost Reconciliation Account riders that apply to Revelstoke customers; and C. On September 7, 1999, BC Gas applied to the Commission for approval, effective September 1, 1999, for a decrease of $0.129/GJ in Revelstoke customer rates and a decrease in the reference price applicable in the Deferral Account from $0.1260/litre to $0.1228/litre; and D. The decrease in the reference price, along with the Order No. G-83-99 rate changes, will result in the rates for Small Commercial Rate 2 customers remaining unchanged and 0.2 percent to 0.4 percent decreases in the rates to Residential Rate 1 and Large Commercial Rate 3 customers; and E. The Commission has reviewed the application and finds that approval is required. NOW THEREFORE the Commission approves for BC Gas, pursuant to Section 61(4) of the Utilities Commission Act, a decrease of $0.129/GJ in Revelstoke customer rates and a decrease in the reference price applicable to the Revelstoke Deferral Account, from $0.1260/litre to $0.1228/litre, effective September 1, 1999.
