Ostergaard, Chair ) B.L. Clemenhagen, Commissioner ) K.L. Hall, Commissioner ) June 21, 2000 N.F. Nichols, Commissioner ) O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On May 15, 2000, Centra Gas British Columbia Inc. (“Centra Gas”) filed with the Commission an April 7, 2000 Gas Transaction Agreement with Island Cogeneration Limited Partnership (“ICLP”) that covers the buying and selling of natural gas by Centra Gas on behalf of ICLP for its Cogeneration Plant, effective from April 7, 2000 on a short term basis during the commissioning period; and B. Under the Gas Transaction Agreement Centra Gas will also provide, from time to time, advice to ICLP concerning the purchase and sale options available in the natural gas markets; and C. The Commission has reviewed the Centra Gas filing and is satisfied that the Gas Transaction Agreement with ICLP is in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE pursuant to Section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Rules for Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts for filing the Gas Transaction Agreement with ICLP that covers the buying and selling of natural gas and the provision of advice concerning gas supply purchase options by Centra Gas, effective from April 7, 2000. Centra Gas is to provide the Commission with quarterly reports on the transactions that have occurred. The Commission will hold the Gas Transaction Agreement and ancillary documents in confidence.
