Nicholls, Commissioner ) O R D E R WHEREAS: A. The Commission, by Order No. E-3-99, approved for BC Gas Utility Ltd. (“BC Gas”) a propane supply contract for the supply of liquid propane to its underground propane grid system in the City of Revelstoke covering the period ending August 31, 2000. The Order required the Utility to file a contract or contract extension for future supplies prior to the expiry of the contract; and B. On August 3, 2000, and as amended on August 14, 2000, BC Gas applied to the Commission for approval of an agreement with ICG Propane Inc. (“ICG”) for propane supply for the one-year period ending August 31, 2001. Of the approximately 11.5 million litres required, 4 million litres would be purchased at a fixed price to meet most of the winter consumption volumes, and the remainder would be purchased at a variable price with a price cap; and C. The Commission has considered the agreement between BC Gas and ICG for the supply of liquid propane to Revelstoke and is satisfied that it should be approved. NOW THEREFORE pursuant to Section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Rules, the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission accepts the agreement between BC Gas and ICG for the propane supply for the one-year period ending August 31, 2001 that will supply approximately 11.5 million litres, of which 4 million litres would be purchased at a fixed price to meet most of the winter consumption volumes, and the remainder would be purchased at a variable price with a price cap. 2. BC Gas is to file with the Commission with a fully executed copy of the final contract with ICG. DATED at the City of Vancouver, in the Province of British Columbia, this 31 st day of August 2000.
