On March 28, 2000, West Kootenay Power Ltd. (“WKP”) applied to the Commission for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (“CPCN”) to construct a 130-meter 138 kV transmission line tap to serve a new BC Gas Utility Ltd. compressor station near Hedley, B.C.; and B. BC Gas will be responsible for the capital costs of the project, except for metering, conforming with WKP’s Rate Schedule 74 Extension policies; and C. The total cost of the project is estimated to be $132,000 of which $15,000 is for metering; and D. The Commission has reviewed the application and finds that approval of the project is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE a CPCN is issued to WKP to construct a 138 kV line tap to serve BC Gas’ compressor station near Hedley, B.C.
