Leighton, Commissioner ) O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On November 4, 1999, and revised by letter dated November 22, 1999, BC Gas Utility Ltd. (“BC Gas”) applied to the Commission for approval to reduce the monthly Administration Charge under Gas Transportation Service Rate Schedules 22, 22A, 22B, 23, 25 and 27 from the current charge of $106 per month to $75 per month, effective January 1, 2000; and B. The reduction in the Administration Charge resulted from a review of administrative costs associated with the program and an increase in the number of customers contracting with the utility for gas transportation service; and C. The Commission has reviewed the application and finds that approval is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves for BC Gas its application to reduce the Administration Charge under Rate Schedules 22, 22A, 22B, 23, 25 and 27 to $75 per month, effective January 1, 2000. 2. The Commission will accept, subject to timely filing, amended Gas Tariff Rate Schedules in accordance with this Order. . . ./2
2 3. BC Gas is to provide all affected customers with a notice describing the decrease. 4. BC Gas is directed to file by September 30, 2002 an updated comparison of the cost of administering transportation service to the revenue generated by the Administration Charge then in effect.
