On November 18, 1997, the Commission, by Order No. G-114-97, approved for British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (“B.C. Hydro”) its revised Real Time Pricing (“RTP”) Application applicable to Rate Schedules 1848, 1844 and 1288; and B. On April 26, 2000, B.C. Hydro applied to the Commission for approval of two January 1, 2000 RTP Supplementary Agreements with CXY Chemicals Canada Limited Partnership (“CXY”) for its plants at Nanaimo and North Vancouver, B.C., under Rate Schedule 1848, for the period May 1, 2000 to October 31, 2000; and C. The Supplementary Agreements between B.C. Hydro and CXY allow for a 50 percent Customer Baseline Load (“CBL”) at CXYs Nanaimo plant and a 60 percent CBL at the North Vancouver plant; and D. Under the continuing rate freeze legislation, any potential revenue shortfall to B.C. Hydro will not impact the rates of other customers; and E. The Commission has reviewed the information submitted and finds that approval of the RTP Supplementary Agreements for CXY is appropriate and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission approves for B.C. Hydro the January 1, 2000 Supplementary Agreements with CXY for RTP service under Rate Schedule 1848, with an adjusted 50 percent CBL at its Nanaimo plant and a 60 percent CBL at the North Vancouver plant, effective for the six-month period commencing May 1, 2000 and ending October 31, 2000.
