Hall, Commissioner ) F.C. Leighton, Commissioner ) O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On March 21, 2000, Squamish Gas Co. Ltd. (“Squamish Gas”) applied to the Commission to increase rates to its bottled propane customers as a result of higher liquid propane prices paid to its supplier and to draw down the debit balance in the Propane Cost Deferral Account; and B. The Squamish Gas application requested an increase of $0.322/Ccf and an increase in the Propane Cost Deferral Account reference price from $0.1795/litre to $0.2095/litre, effective April 1, 2000; and C. The Commission has reviewed the application and finds that approval to increase propane rates is required. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. Pursuant to Section 61 of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission approves for Squamish Gas an increase in propane rates of $0.322/Ccf to all propane customers, effective April 1, 2000. The reference price of the Propane Cost Deferral Account is to be set at $0.2095/litre, effective April 1, 2000. 2. Squamish Gas is to file, in a timely manner, an amended Gas Tariff rate schedule in accordance with this Order. 3. The difference between the actual cost of propane and the cost recovered in rates is to be recorded in the Propane Cost Deferral Account. 4.
