Ltd. BEFORE: P. Ostergaard, Chair ) L.R. Barr, Deputy Chair ) December 23, 1999 B.L. Clemenhagen, Commissioner ) O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On December 21, 1999, BC Gas Utility Ltd. (“BC Gas”) filed with the Commission for approval cost of gas and other changes to its Gas Tariff rate structure effective January 1, 2000. The Commission, by Order No. G-135-99, approved the changes in accordance with the BC Gas Annual Review and its 2000 Revenue Requirements Application; and B. In its December 21, 1999 application, BC Gas identified additional rate changes and applied to the Commission for approval of Gas Cost Reconciliation Account (“GCRA”) riders for Rate Schedules 7, 23, 25 and 27 that will apply to customers who switch to these rate classes from firm system sales on or after January 1, 2000; and C. BC Gas also proposed gas commodity costs for Squamish Gas Co. Ltd. (“Squamish Gas”) that are based on the equivalent Lower Mainland Rate Schedule 1 and 3 gas cost recovery charges and GCRA riders; and D. The Commission has reviewed the application and finds that approval of the proposed riders and rates are required. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves for BC Gas GCRA riders to Rate Schedules 7, 23, 25 and 27 as set out in BC Gas’ December 21, 1999 application, effective January 1, 2000. 2. The Commission approves for BC Gas gas commodity costs for Squamish Gas that are based on the equivalent Lower Mainland Rate Schedule 1 and 3 gas cost recovery charges and GCRA riders. 3. BC Gas is to provide all Rate Schedule 3, 5, 7, 23, 25 and 27 customers with an explanation of the GCRA rate riders that are approved by this Order.
