Ostergaard, Chair ) L.R. Barr, Deputy Chair ) December 23, 1999 B.L. Clemenhagen, Commissioner ) O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On November 8, 1999, West Kootenay Power Ltd. (“WKP“) filed a Preliminary 2000-2002 Revenue Requirements Application to set rates in accordance with an amended Incentive Mechanism for the period beginning January 1, 2000 and ending December 31, 2002 pursuant to Sections 58 and 61 of the Utilities Commission Act; and B. The Commission issued Order No. G-134-99 approving the resulting Negotiated Settlement and directing WKP to file a Final Rate Application; and C. On December 22, 1999, WKP filed a 2000 Final Rate Application reflecting the terms of the Negotiated Settlement approved by the Commission; and D. The Commission has reviewed the 2000 Final Rate Application and is satisfied that approval of the rate changes is necessary and in the public interest; and E. By Orders No. G-15-98 and G-118-99 the Commission approved certain rate design changes. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves a general rate increase of 4.9% for all customer classes, effective January 1, 2000. 2. The Commission will accept, subject to timely filing, Electric Tariff Rate Schedules which are in compliance with the Final Rate Application and Orders No. G-15-98 and G-118-99, effective January 1, 2000.
