The Commission, by Order No. G-61-86, ordered British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (“B.C. Hydro”) and West Kootenay Power Ltd. (“WKP”) (formerly known as West Kootenay Power and Light Company, Limited) to enter into a long-term contract for power purchases, including the wheeling of power to Princeton, B.C.; and B. On May 26, 1988, B.C. Hydro and WKP filed a General Wheeling Agreement that was made effective October 15, 1986 and identified as Tariff Supplement No. 2 in the Electric Tariff of B.C. Hydro and as Tab No. 2 in the WKP Electric Tariff; and C. On May 17, 2000, WKP filed with the Commission for approval a May 16, 2000 Letter Agreement (“the Letter Agreement”) with B.C. Hydro that covered the wheeling of electricity from WKP’s South Slocan generating station to WKP’s Princeton Substation during off-peak hours from May 20, 2000 to July 31, 2000. The Letter Agreement anticipates a renewal from April 1, 2001 to July 31, 2001, subject to negotiation and mutual agreement between B.C. Hydro and WKP; and D. The Commission has reviewed the Letter Agreement and finds that it should be approved. NOW THEREFORE the Commission approves for WKP and B.C. Hydro the Letter Agreement covering the wheeling of power from WKP’s South Slocan Generating Station to WKP’s Princeton, B.C.
