Ostergaard, Chair ) P.G. Bradley, Commissioner ) August 9, 2001 B.L. Clemenhagen, Commissioner ) O R D E R WHEREAS: A. Commission Order No. E-9-00 directed BC Gas Utility Ltd. (“BC Gas”) to conduct a competitive bidding process for the supply of liquid propane to its underground propane grid system in the City of Revelstoke for future contract years commencing September 1, 1991; and B On July 18, 2001, BC Gas filed an application that requested the Commission’s approval for a two-year liquid propane supply agreement beginning September 1, 2001 that contained a renegotiation of prices for the contract in year number two. In year number one, the contract provides for the delivery of 5.75 million litres of liquid propane at a fixed price to commence November 7, 2001 and approximately 4.74 million litres at a variable price; and C. The Commission has considered the Agreement between BC Gas and Bidder A and is satisfied that it should be approved and accepted for filing. NOW THEREFORE pursuant to Section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Rules, the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission accepts for filing the terms of the two year Agreement between BC Gas and Bidder A, to supply liquid propane to the Revelstoke grid system for the period September 1, 2001 to August 31, 2003 with renegotiation of prices for the year commencing September 1, 2002. The Commission’s approval is subject to the timely filing of a fully executed contract by BC Gas. 2. In addition to filing the executed contract with Bidder A, BC Gas is to provide reasons why BC Gas considers that Bidder A has the necessary resources to ensure supply reliability, security and flexibility while meeting the agreed pricing terms, prior to August 31, 2001.
