On June 15, 2001, BC Gas Utility Ltd. (“BC Gas”) applied to the Commission to eliminate Rate Schedule 31 and to revise Rate Schedule 30 to the new Gas Electronic Data Interface (“GasEDI”) as BC Gas’ new standard for firm and interruptible off-system gas sales transactions; and B. BC Gas proposes to use the standard GasEDI contract for firm and interruptible sales in British Columbia, Alberta and the United States and for spot gas purchase transactions that BC Gas may enter into from time to time. The proposed GasEDI contract will be used as a base transaction procedure agreement, which will enable the parties to enter into multiple specification gas transactions in a standard approved format; and C. BC Gas proposes to cancel Rate Schedule 31, which covered sales into Alberta; and D. The Commission has reviewed the application and finds that an Order approving the cancellation of Rate Schedule 31 and amendments to Rate Schedule 30 are in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves for BC Gas the cancellation of Rate Schedule 31. . . ./2
2 2. The Commission approves for BC Gas the revision of Rate Schedule 30 to the new GasEDI format. BC Gas is to file the GasEDI contract that will be used for gas purchases and firm and interruptible off-system gas sales transactions in approved Tariff Supplement format. 3. All existing contracts under the previous Rate Schedules 30 and 31 are grandparented until such time as they have been converted to the new Rate Schedule 30 Gas EDI format. 4. All existing Rate Schedule 30 Tariff Supplements will continue to remain in effect. 5. BC Gas is to report any gas purchases made under the Rate Schedule 30 GasEDI contract as part of its monthly spot gas purchase report, in a form to be developed in consultation with Commission staff.
