The Commission, by Order No. G-46-01, approved for BC Gas Utility Ltd. (“BC Gas”) a deferral account to record external information technology consulting services costs for the Requirements Definition Phase of the Agency, Billing and Collection Transportation (“ABC-T”) project up to $335,000; and B. On August 10, 2001, BC Gas provided the Commission with a report on the consulting services costs for the ABC-T project and requested approval to increase the deferral account for this phase of the project by $83,000. The maximum deferral account amount spent by September 30, 2001 will be $418,000; and C. The Commission has reviewed the application and finds that an increase in costs related to the Requirements Definition Phase of the ABC-T project should be approved. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves for BC Gas an increase in the deferral account to record an additional $83,000 of external information technology consulting services costs for the Requirements Definition Phase of the ABC-T project. Future deferral account funding will be dependent on a number of factors such as proposed legislative changes to the Utilities Commission Act. . . ./2
2 2. BC Gas is to provide the Commission with a report on final accounting of costs for deferral account treatment following the completion of the Requirements Definition Phase of the ABC-T project. The eligibility of the costs for recovery in customer rates and the disposition of the deferral account balance will be determined by way of a future Commission Order.
