By letter dated March 1, 2002, UtiliCorp Networks Canada (British Columbia) Ltd. (“UNC”) filed with the Commission Power Purchase Agreements No. 1692145 and No. 1692156 with Aquila Power Corporation (“Aquila”) for the purchase of two 6x16 blocks of firm energy of 25 MW each, for the period October 1 through December 31, 2002. The firm energy is purchased at the Mid Columbia Bus (Mid-C); and B. UNC states that the firm energy is required to meet its October through December 2002 load requirements; and C. The Commission has reviewed the filing and is satisfied that acceptance of the Agreements is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE pursuant to Section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Rules respecting Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts for filing Power Purchase Agreements No. 1692145 and No. 1692156 between UNC and Aquila for the purchase of firm energy for the period of October 1 through December 31, 2002.
