On June 4, 2002, Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. (“PNG-West”) filed its Second Quarter 2002 Report on current and projected Gas Cost Variance Account (“GCVA”) balances and future gas acquisition costs and revenues, and other information in support of the application to maintain Gas Supply Charges and GCVA riders unchanged as of July 1, 2002; and B. PNG-West recommended that no changes should be made to the Gas Supply Charges GCVA riders for PNG-West or for the Granisle propane and Pacific Northern Gas (N.E.) Ltd.’s [“PNG (N.E.)”] Fort St. John/Dawson Creek and Tumbler Ridge Divisions; and C. The Commission has reviewed the filing and other evidence for PNG-West, PNG (N.E.) and Granisle propane rates, including the Gas Cost Variance Account balances, and finds that the GCVA rider should be reduced to zero for Granisle customers. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission accepts PNG-West’s recommendation that the current GCVA rider and Gas Supply Charges for PNG-West should remain and continue unchanged, except that the GCVA rider for Granisle propane customers is to be reduced to zero effective July 1, 2002. 2. The Commission accepts PNG (N.E.)’s recommendation that the current GCVA riders and Gas Supply Charges for Tumbler Ridge and Fort St. John/Dawson Creek customers should remain and continue unchanged. . . ./2
2 3. PNG-West is to notify all Granisle customers of the rate change by way of customer notice or bill insert to be reviewed with Commission staff prior to its release.
