Ostergaard, Chair ) R.D. Deane, Commissioner ) November 29, 2001 O R D E R WHEREAS: A. The Commission, by Order No. G-82-00, approved for British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (“B.C. Hydro”) Rate Schedule 1852: Transmission Service Modified Demand (“RS 1852”) effective September 7, 2000; and B. On November 8, 2001, the Commission received an application from B.C. Hydro to amend RS 1852 (“the Application”); and C. The proposed amendments to RS 1852 included an expanded definition of the low-load hours, a reduction in the time required between demand reduction events, inclusion of a clause allowing B.C. Hydro to transfer unused demand reduction energy and events to the next contract, and a change in the method of calculating damages if the customer fails to curtail during a demand reduction event; and D. The Application also included changes proposed for Rate Schedule 1880: Transmission Service Emergency, Maintenance and Special Supply (“RS 1880”) that would make RS 1880 available to RS 1852 customers; and E. The proposed changes to RS 1852 and RS 1880 were jointly developed by B.C. Hydro and the only customer currently participating in RS 1852; and F. Commission staff sent an information request related to the Application to B.C. Hydro on November 15, 2001. B.C. Hydro responded in a letter dated November 26, 2001; and . . ./2
2 G. The Commission has considered the Application and B.C. Hydros response to the information request and finds that proposed changes to RS 1852 and RS 1880 should be approved. NOW THEREFORE the Commission directs as follows: 1. The proposed amendments to Rate Schedule 1852 are approved. 2. The proposed amendments to Rate Schedule 1880 are approved subject to B.C. Hydro re-filing Page C-66-3, with First Revision of Page C-66-3 changed to Original Page C-66-3”, with the Commission.
