Ostergaard, Chair P.G. Bradley, Commissioner O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On March 25, 2002, BC Gas Utility Ltd. (“BC Gas”) applied to the Commission for approval of Rate Schedule 23 - Commercial Transportation Service Tariff Supplement No. A-4 with Fording Coal Limited (“Fording”) at its greenhouse operation, effective November 1, 2001; and B. Fording advised BC Gas that it was prepared to move its greenhouse operation to the mine site in order to access the lower natural gas service rate at the mines existing industrial meter under Rate Schedule 22B; and C. BC Gas supplies Fordings greenhouse operation with natural gas service under Rate Schedule 23 Commercial Transportation Service and has negotiated a competitive load retention rate equivalent to the cost to Fording of relocating its greenhouse operations. The Tariff Supplement reduces the Delivery Charge to the greenhouse operation by $0.35 per GJ; and D. The Commission has reviewed the Application and finds that the Commercial Transportation Service Tariff Supplement with Fording is in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission approves for BC Gas, Commercial Transportation Service Tariff Supplement No. A-4 with Fording for its greenhouse operation, effective November 1, 2001.
