Ostergaard, Chair R.D. Deane, Commissioner K.L. Hall, Commissioner O R D E R WHEREAS: A. The Commission, by Orders No. G-46-01 and G-97-01, approved for BC Gas Utility Ltd. (“BC Gas”) deferral account treatment in recording costs associated with the Requirements Definition Phase of the Agency, Billing and Collections - Transportation (“ABC-T”) Service project up to $418,000; and B. On October 23, 2001 the Commission by Letter No. L-36-01 advised BC Gas, Intervenors and Interested Parties to the ABC-T project, that the project should not proceed any further until such time as licensing and enforcement mechanisms are in place through amendments to the Utilities Commission Act; and C. On April 2, 2002, BC Gas advised the Commission that total actual costs spent on the ABC-T project recorded in the deferral account were $106,328 and applied to the Commission to recover those costs in customer rates over a period of two years commencing in 2003; and D. The Commission has reviewed the application and finds that recovery of actual ABC-T costs in the deferral account should be approved. NOW THEREFORE the Commission approves for BC Gas the recovery of $106,328 of actual deferral account costs incurred for the ABC-T project over an amortization period of two years commencing in 2003.
