(“BC Gas”) filed with the Commission copies of draft Letter Agreements and Amendments for natural gas storage with Unocal Canada Limited (“Unocal”), at its Aitken Creek natural gas storage facility, with Puget Sound Energy Inc. (“Puget”), at its Jackson Prairie storage facility (“Jackson Prairie”), and with Centra Gas British Columbia Inc. (“Centra Gas”) for sub-lease arrangements at Aitken Creek, for periods commencing April 1, 2003; and B. The Letter Agreements and Amendments set the pricing structure, deliverability and other terms for natural gas storage and include the following contracts (“the Storage Agreements”): • Firm Gas Storage Agreement with Unocal dated March 31, 2003 with a term of three years [Contract No. GS-4145(a)] • Firm Gas Storage Agreement with Unocal dated March 31, 2003 with a term of five years [Contract No. GS-4145(b)] • Firm Gas Storage Agreement with Centra Gas dated March 31, 2003 with a term of five years. • Amendment to Gas Supply Deferred Exchange Agreement with Puget dated March 27, 2003 with a term of one year [Contract No. GS-4135] • Amendment of Gas Storage Agreement with Unocal, with a term of one year (Contract No. GS-1083); and C. The Commission has reviewed the BC Gas filing and finds that the Storage Agreements are in the public interest. . . ./2
2 NOW THEREFORE pursuant to Section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Rules for Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts for filing for BC Gas the Storage Agreements subject to timely filing of the fully executed agreements. The Commission accepts BC Gas’ request to maintain the contracts and filed documents as confidential.
