MacMillan, P.Eng. Consultant Canadian Forest Products Ltd. Bentall 5 1500 550 Burrard Street Vancouver, B.C. V6C 2C1 Dear Mr. MacMillan: Re: British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority Application by Canadian Forest Products to Resell Power This is in reply to your request of July 31, 2003 for approval to resell electricity from Canadian Forest Products Ltd., Netherlands Division, in Prince George (“Canfor”) to Dollar Saver Lumber Ltd. The Commission notes that BC Hydro, by letter of July 25, 2003, has no objections to the resale of this electricity pursuant to Section 24 of Canfors Rate Schedule 1821 Electricity Supply Agreement. The Commission also notes that Dollar Saver Lumber, in taking power from Canfor, does not create an additional cost to BC Hydro. In addition, Dollar Saver Lumber has the option of purchasing direct from BC Hydro if it finds the price of resale to be uneconomical. Therefore, pursuant to Section 24 of Canfors Rate Schedule 1821 Electricity Supply Agreement, the Commission approves the resale of Electricity by Canfor to Dollar Saver Lumber. Yours truly, Original signed by: Robert J. Pellatt RJP/chm cc: Mr. Richard Stout Chief Regulatory Officer British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority BCH/Cor/Canfor Resale Power
