The Commission, by Order No. C-4-00, approved a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for Stargas Utilities Ltd. (“Stargas”, “Company”) to operate a natural gas distribution system at the resort community of Silver Star; and B. On August 15, 2002, Stargas filed an Application to re-capitalize the Company, revise the ownership structure, and increase rates and fees, stating that it has incurred losses in each of its three fiscal years; and C. Commission Order No. G-61-02 established a Regulatory Agenda and Timetable for a written public hearing; and D. Stargas has provided its response to Commission staff Information Request No. 1 and the Commission wishes to give registered intervenors a further opportunity to discuss the Application with Stargas representatives and Commission staff. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. A Public Information Town Hall Meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on October 29, 2002 at the Altitude Training Centre team room, Silver Star Village, B.C. 2. Stargas is directed to have representatives attend the meeting to answer questions from registered intervenors and interested parties. Commission staff will also be present to explain the written hearing process. 3. The Regulatory Agenda established by Commission Order No. G-61-02 may be extended based on the recommendations made by participants at the meeting.
