Boychuk, Commissioner ) L.F. Kelsey, Commissioner ) January 22, 2004 O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On January 5, 2004, Princeton Light and Power Company, Limited (“PLP”) applied to the Commission for approval to pass-through increased power purchase costs from its supplier Aquila Networks Canada (British Columbia) Ltd. (“Aquila”), effective January 1, 2004 (“the Application”); and B. Commission Order No. G-91-03 approved an interim rate increase of 3.6 percent for Aquila, effective January 1, 2004; and C. The Application requests a 3.6 percent increase to the energy component of rates for all customers, effective January 1, 2004. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. Pursuant to Section 61(4) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission approves for PLP, effective January 1, 2004, a 3.6 percent interim increase to the energy component of rates for all customers. 2. The interim increase is subject to refund with interest calculated at the average prime rate of the principal bank with which PLP conducts its business. The final rate determination will be made by way of a future Commission Order following the Commission’s Decision on Aquila’s 2004 Revenue Requirements. . . . /2
