Kelsey, Commissioner L.A. Boychuk, Commissioner October 12, 2005 O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On June 1, 2005, Terasen Gas Inc. (“Terasen Gas”) applied for Commission approval of several transactions that are related to the Southern Crossing Pipeline and the Inland Pacific Connector (“the SCP-IPC Application”); and B. Commission Order No. G-55-05 established a written hearing process and Regulatory Agenda for the review of the SCP-IPC Application that included a Workshop on June 29, 2005; and C. On September 26, 2005, the BC Old Age Pensioners’ Organization et al. (“BCOAPO”) applied for a participant assistance/cost award (“PACA”) for its participation in the proceeding on the SCP-IPC Application; and D. By letter dated October 3, 2005, Terasen Gas stated that it believes the BCOAPO’s application has met the Commission’s criteria for a participant assistance cost award, and that it does not disagree with the request for a cost award; and E. On October 6, 2005, the Commission Panel issued its decision on the SCP-IPC Application by Order No. G-89-05 and attached Reasons for Decision; and . . ./2
2 F. The Commission Panel has reviewed the BCOAPO PACA application with regard to the criteria and rates set out in Commission Order No. G-15-04. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. Pursuant to Section 118(1) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission Panel awards funds to BCOAPO for its participation in the Terasen Gas SCP-IPC Application and proceeding, as follows: PACA Application BCOAPO $7,774.20 2. Terasen Gas is directed to reimburse BCOAPO for the total amounts awarded in a timely manner.
