Kelsey, Commissioner June 30, 2005 O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On June 27, 2005, Terasen Multi Utility Services Inc. (“TMUS”, previously Sun Rivers Services Corp.) applied for approval to change rates for natural gas service to customers at the Sun Rivers Resort Community near Kamloops, B.C. (“Sun Rivers”) to reflect changes in the natural gas rates for its supplier, Terasen Gas Inc. (“Terasen Gas”), effective July 1, 2005 (“the Application”). The rate changes are a $0.653/GJ increase for Residential customers and a $0.643/GJ increase for Small Commercial customers; and B. Pursuant to Commission Order No. G-88-02, TMUS serves its customers under similar terms and conditions and at rates that are consistent with the approved rates that would apply to similar Terasen Gas customers; and C. In the Application, TMUS requested approval of a flow-through rate adjustment mechanism for gas and electricity rates for Sun Rivers that is similar to the mechanism that Commission Order No. C-13-05 approved for the TMUS-Sonoma Pines service area; and D. The Commission has reviewed the Application and finds that approval is warranted. . . ./2
BRITISH COLUMBIA UTILITIES COMMISSION ORDER NUMBER G-68-05 2 NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves for TMUS changes to Gas Cost Recovery Charges for Rate Schedule 1 Residential Service and Rate Schedule 2 Small Commercial Service for Sun Rivers as set out in the Application, effective July 1, 2005. TMUS is to provide a bill stuffer notifying all customers of the changes in rates. 2. The Commission grants TMUS approval to amend the natural gas Basic Charges, Delivery Charges and Gas Cost Recovery Charges for Sun Rivers in order to maintain customer rates at levels equivalent to those of the Terasen Gas Inland Division, adjacent to Sun Rivers, subject to the filing of the amended rates with the Commission within ten business days of the effective date of the changes to Terasen Gas rates, and subject to review by the Commission in the event of a complaint by an interested party within 60 days of the effective date of the amended rates. 3. The Commission grants TMUS approval to amend the electric monthly charges, delivery charges and commodity charges for Sun Rivers in order to maintain customer rates at levels equivalent to those of BC Hydro, adjacent to Sun Rivers, subject to the filing of the amended rates with the Commission within ten business days of the effective date of the changes to BC Hydro rates, and subject to review by the Commission in the event of a complaint by an interested party within 60 days of the effective date of the amended rates.
