O R D E R
WHEREAS:
A. On September 26, 2006, Sun Peaks Utilities Co., Ltd. (“Sun Peaks”) filed for approval of its 2006 Revenue
Requirements Application to amend its rates on an interim and final basis, effective October 1, 2006, (“the
Application”) pursuant to Sections 58 and 89 of the Utilities Commission Act (the “Act”); and
B. The Application proposes to increase the monthly basic charge by 20 percent and the delivery rates by
$0.36/GJ for all customer classes; and
C. Sun Peaks incurred a loss of $8,786 in F2006 and forecasts a loss of $19,570 for F2007 if a rate increase is
not approved; and
D. The Commission finds that interim rates for 2006 and a written public hearing process are required to be
established.
NOW THEREFORE the pursuant to Sections 58 and 89 of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission
orders as follows:
1. The Commission approves for Sun Peaks an interim increase of 20 percent in the monthly basic charge and a
$0.36/GJ rate increase in the delivery charge for all customer classes, effective November 1, 2006, subject to
refund with interest calculated for the refund period at the average prime rate of the principal bank with which
Sun Peaks conducts its business.
2. Sun Peaks is to inform all customers of the interim rate increase and written public hearing process
established by this Order by way of a customer notice to be reviewed by the Commission in advance of its
release.
3. The Commission will accept, subject to timely filing by Sun Peaks, amended Propane Tariff Rate Schedules
in accordance with the terms of this Order.

4. The Application and supporting material will be made available for inspection at Sun Peaks’ office at
1280 Alpine Road, Sun Peaks, BC, V0E 5N0 and at the British Columbia Utilities Commission, Sixth Floor,
900 Howe Street, Vancouver, B.C., V6Z 2N3.
5. Intervenors and Interested Parties should inform the Commission in writing or register on-line via the
Commission’s website at http://www.bcuc.com, by Wednesday, November 1, 2006 of their intention to
actively intervene in the proceeding, or become Interested Parties. Registered Intervenors will receive from
Sun Peaks copies of the Application, all correspondence and filed documentation. Interested Parties will
receive copies of all Orders issued.
6. Sun Peaks shall provide a copy of this Order, by facsimile if possible, to all Intervenors and Interested Parties
no later than Friday, November 10, 2006.
7. A Regulatory Timetable for this proceeding will be established following the deadline for registration of
Intervenors.

NOTICE OF WRITTEN PUBLIC
HEARING PROCESS
THE APPLICATION
On September 26, 2006 Sun Peaks Utilities Co., Ltd. (“Sun Peaks”, the “Company”) applied to the Commission
for approval to increase the monthly basic charge by 20 percent and the delivery charge by $0.36 per gigajoule on
an interim and final basis for all customer classes connected to the propane grid system effective October 1, 2006
(the “Application”). The Commission approved an interim rate increase based on the application, effective
November 1, 2006 by Commission Order No. G-123-06.
THE REGULATORY PROCESS
The Commission has established a Written Public Hearing Process for the review of the Sun Peaks Application.
PUBLIC INSPECTION OF THE DOCUMENTS
The Application and supporting material will be made available for inspection at the Company’s office at 1280
Alpine Road, Sun Peaks, B.C., V0E 5N0 and at the British Columbia Utilities Commission, Sixth Floor, 900
Howe Street, Vancouver, B.C., V6Z 2N3.
REGISTERING TO PARTICIPATE
Persons who wish to actively participate in the Sun Peaks proceeding should register as Intervenors with the
Commission, in writing, by Wednesday, November 1, 2006. Intervenors will receive copies of the Application,
all correspondence and filed documentation. A Regulatory Timetable for this proceeding will be established
following the deadline for registration of Intervenors.
Persons not expecting to actively participate, but who have an interest in the Sun Peaks proceeding should register
as Interested Parties with the Commission, in writing, by Wednesday, November 1, 2006. Interested Parties will
receive a copy of the Application’s Executive Summary and all Orders issued.
All submissions and/or correspondence received from active participants or the general public, relating to the
application, will be placed on the public record and posted to the Commission’s website.
