O’Hara, Commissioner September 8, 2006 L.F. Kelsey, Commissioner O R D E R WHEREAS: A. British Columbia Transmission Commission filed on March 1, 2006, pursuant to sections 58 to 61 of the Utilities Commission Act, an application for approval of tariff terms and conditions related to the provision of Network Service (“the Application”); and B. Commission Order No. G-105-06 (Exhibit A-12) established an Amended Regulatory Timetable (“Timetable”) to review the Application; and C. The Timetable contemplated a Negotiated Settlement Process (“NSP”), which took place as scheduled between September 6 and September 8, 2006; and D. The Timetable provides dates for the filing of Direct Evidence on Monday, September 11 and Rebuttal Evidence on Monday, September 18, 2006; and E. The Timetable provides for an Oral Public Hearing to be held, if necessary, beginning October 10, 2006; and F. Commission Letter No. L-49-06 (Exhibit A-13) requires the Alberta Coalition to file responses to certain British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (“BC Hydro”) Information Requests by Wednesday, September 13; and G. The parties involved in the NSP believe that there is a good possibility of reaching a final settlement of the matters that are the subject of the Application, and the parties have asked the Commission that all pending dates be held in abeyance until it is known whether a final settlement has been reached; and H. The Commission Panel agrees that all pending dates be held in abeyance until it is known whether a final settlement has been reached. . . ./2
2 NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. All process steps under the Amended Regulatory Timetable for the Network Economy proceeding attached to Commission Order No. G-105-06, as of September 11, 2006, are suspended until further Order of the Commission. 2. The requirement in Commission Letter No. L-49-06 that the Alberta Coalition file responses to certain BC Hydro Information Requests by Wednesday, September 13, 2006 is also suspended until further Order of the Commission.
