Kelsey, Commissioner L.A. O’Hara, Commissioner September 12, 2006 O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On May 19, 2006, the Commission by Order No. G-58-06 issued its approval to the Negotiated Settlement Document on FortisBC Inc.’s (“FortisBC”) 2006 Revenue Requirements Application and Multi-Year Performance Based Regulation Mechanism; and B. Following the Negotiated Settlement Process (“NSP”), Mr. Alan Wait; the Commercial Energy Consumers (“CEC”), Mr. Richard Tarnoff, on behalf of Natural Resource Industries (“NRI”), the British Columbia Public Interest Advocacy Centre (“BCPIAC”) on behalf of the British Columbia Old Age Pensioners’ Organization (“BCOAPO”) and the Interior Municipal Electrical Utilities (“IMEU”) submitted bills of cost as a result of their participation in the proceeding; and C. The Commission, by Order No. F-9-06, provided applicants with Participant Assistance Cost Awards (“PACA”) funding; and D. On August 18, 2006, Mr. Richard Tarnoff of NRI requested full compensation of his PACA application. The difference in the amount funded in Commission Order No. F-9-06 and that applied for was a result of high accommodation disbursement due to the venue of the NSP; and E. The Commission Panel has reviewed the PACA applications and finds that additional reimbursements will be authorized for payment at the official accommodation rates paid by the applicants. . . ./2
2 NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. Pursuant to Section 118(1) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission awards additional funds to the following applicants for their participation in FortisBC’s 2006 Revenue Requirements Application and Multi-Year Performance Based Regulation Mechanism.
