Kelsey, Commissioner P.E. Vivian, Commissioner O R D E R WHEREAS: A. Commission Order No. G-5-97 approved for British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (“B.C. Hydro”) its December 23, 1996 application for approval of a new Electric Tariff Rate Schedule 1288 - Real Time Pricing (“RTP”) Transmission Service to those transmission service customers billed under distribution Rate Schedules 1210 and 1211, to purchase incremental electricity at market-based rates; and B. The RTP rates were approved in the Commission’s July 17, 1996 Decision of B.C. Hydro’s Industrial Service Options tariffs and Rate Schedule 1848 which were put into place for a trial period ending July 17, 1997. The Decision required B.C. Hydro to develop a RTP rate for Rate Schedule 1211 customers; and C. On August 29, 2007, BC Hydro applied to the Commission to terminate Rate Schedule 1288 Real-Time Pricing Transmission Service and advised that no customers were taking services through Rate Schedule 1288; and D. The Commission has reviewed the Application and finds that approval is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission approves for BC Hydro the termination of Rate Schedule 1288 Real-Time Pricing Transmission Service, effective the date of this Order. B.C. Hydro is to advise all Rate Schedule 1210 and 1211 customers of the termination of RTP Rate Schedule 1288.
