By Order E‐8‐07 dated April 20, 2007, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (“the Commission”) accepted a propane supply agreement amendment dated March 16, 2007 between MP Energy Partnership (“MP Energy”) and Terasen Utility Services Inc. that extended the agreement for the supply of liquid propane to Sun Peaks Utilities Co., Ltd. (“SPUCL”) for the period April 1, 2007 through March 31, 2008; and B. On September 16, 2008 SPUCL applied for acceptance for filing of a Propane Supply Agreement between MP Energy and Terasen Energy Services Inc. (“TESI”) dated June 3, 2008 for the supply of liquid propane to SPUCL for the period April 1, 2008 to March 31, 2010 (the “Agreement”); and C. SPUCL states that it intends to implement a price hedging strategy for a portion of its propane supply; and D. The Commission has reviewed the SPUCL submission, and has determined that the Agreement should be accepted for filing. NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission accepts the Agreement for filing and requests that SPUCL file a report by November 28, 2008 with the Commission that confirms the propane price paid for the hedged component of the winter propane supply. The Commission will hold information specific to the Agreement confidential.
