Application for Participant Assistance /Cost Award Funding

WHEREAS:

A.      By Order G-140-09 the British Columbia Utilities Commission (the “Commission”) approved for Terasen Gas (Vancouver Island) Inc. (“TGVI”) the Negotiated Settlement Agreement for TGVI’s 2010 and 2011 Revenue Requirements, Rates, Cost of Service, Rate Design and Revenue Deficiency Deferral Account Balance as at December 31, 2008 (“revenue requirement and rate design proceedings”); and

B.      By letter dated November 24, 2009, the British Columbia Public Interest Advocacy Center filed an application for a Participant Assistance/Cost Award (“PACA”) on behalf of its client, the BC Old Age Pensioners Organization et al. (“BCOAPO”) with respect to its participation in the TGVI revenue requirements and rate design proceedings; and

C.      By letter dated December 7, 2009, TGVI advised the Commission that it had reviewed the BCOAPO PACA application with respect to its participation in the TGVI revenue requirements and rate design proceedings and considered it to be reasonable and should be approved by the Commission; and

D.      The Commission has reviewed the BCOAPO PACA application with respect to its participation in the TGVI revenue requirements and rate design proceedings with regard to the criteria and rates set out in Order

G-72-07. 

 

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to sections 118 (1) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission awards $15,394.12 to BCOAPO with respect to its participation in the TGVI revenue requirements and rate design proceedings.  TGVI is to make payment on the award to BCOAPO in a timely manner.
